More Trump Towers?

Donald Trump’s “golden” years don’t look promising. He is burdened with personally guaranteed debt that will be difficult to refinance; besieged by lawsuits, which he will not be able to delay much longer; and being badgered by a number of state attorney generals looking to put him away for offenses that cannot be pardoned by any federal official.

One also has to wonder how long it will be before Melania says “no mas”, and files for divorce.

In short, Trump is not exactly looking at a pleasant future. Of course, Trump has found himself in tight spots many times before, and has always managed to slither out of them.

Will Trump, however, be able to wriggle out of the mess he is currently in? The short answer is yes. Sources tell us that Donald Trump is close to negotiating the mother of all deals with Vladimir Putin that will give him asylum in Russia, a hundred-fifty million Russian ruble monthly allowance (about $2.0m US), a bevy of Russian honeys to choose from, and the financing for Trump to build skyscrapers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, both of which would eclipse the tower that Trump built in New York.

The one thing holding up the deal is Trump’s concern over his legacy. One might think that Trump could care less about his legacy, but presidents always seem to worry about this sort of thing, and Trump is no exception. He and Putin have agreed that one tower will be called the Trump Presidential Tower and the other the Putin Presidential Tower. Trump, who is mindful of his legacy, is holding out for his name to be attached to the Moscow project (the bigger of the two) while Putin wants the Trump name to go on the smaller St. Petersburg tower.

We will keep you posted as more details emerge.
