Tennessee man Joshua Hendricks recently met his Maker – albeit for only about ninety seconds – with whiskey on his breath.
“It wasn't exactly how I wanted it to happen,” admitted Hendricks, who fell into a coma as a result of alcohol poisoning but was resuscitated less than two minutes later. “I felt a little self-conscious about having straight bourbon whiskey on my breath. But I did enjoy meeting Jesus.”
Hendricks emphasized that he didn't feel judged in the slightest by Jesus, for drinking whiskey or for anything else.
“He was cool,” said Hendricks of Jesus. “Totally chill.”
Hendricks says that his near-death experience has reaffirmed his Christian faith. “I feel totally connected to Jesus now. We share this special bond, since I've also been resurrected,” he explained. “How could I not believe?”
