Not a Twitter fight, earlier today.

Twitter is set to organise its first annual celebrity Twitter fight next October. The event, being marketed as 'Twitter Spat 2021', will be held in Las Vegas and will be televised, via pay-per-view, from the MGM Grand arena.

The idea was first touted last year, but various celebrity schedules would not allow the event to take place. Plus travel restrictions due to Covid-19 added an insurmountable layer of organisational complexity.

The exact line-up of stars is difficult to pin down, but Nikki Minaj vs Meek Mill, Chelsea Handler vs 50 Cent and Taylor Swift vs Kim Kardashian are all hotly tipped to be on the card.

Insiders have also hinted that certain 'classic' bouts might be a big draw, assuming the participants are up for it.

This could mean Lady Gaga facing off against Perez Hilton, Charlie Sheen taking on Rihanna or even Piers Morgan squaring up to John Cleese!

Unfortunately it would seem the worlds heavyweight Twitter feud instigator will not be in attendance, however. Donald J Trump has already tweeted out that he will not be taking part.

'It's a totally tremendous idea, the best idea. Tremendous,' he told reporters, 'but I won't be taking part. I'd win. I'd beat them all. Everyone knows. I'm the best. Tremendous. But I'll be at home, tweeting. So much tweeting. I won the election.'

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
