Agricultural scientists and dairy farmers today made a joint statement saying that cows are the major polluters of the atmosphere and that they should all be fitted with catalytic converters before global warming gets out of control.
"Cows produce enough methane to provide a small Himilayan settlement with sufficient power to run a regular bus service to Katmandu and back for a week", said a Buddhist Transport advisor. " Especially the black and white ones"
Farmers have been angered by the comments saying that pigs and llamas are notorious for the amount of gas they emit.
"Put a match to a pig's bottom and it will go up like the Hindeburgh" reported a pork butcher. " Although the main reason for it's flammability has to be blamed on the stiff hair on their backs"
The last pig explosion took place at a farm in the New Forest, Hampshire in the UK. Since then, the fire department has insisted on clearly marked fire exits on sty walls.
