In what will fast become a major international incident, China's foreign Minister lashed out at the United States for approving the drug for obese dogs.
"It is obvious to us that the US has a hidden agenda in approving the drug for obese dogs".
"The US does not like our people eating dogs".
"Just because people in the States do not eat dogs, they should not try to impose their gourmet morality on others".
"If not to send a message reminding the world that China harbours restaurants that cook dog meat, why else would anybody in their right mind develop a drug for obese dogs?"
"Why doesn't the US develop a pill for obese pigs and cattle as well? In fact they regularly showcase their fatted calf".
This reporter intercepted email between China's Minister of Science and Minister of Commerce about using the FDA approved drug for dogs for people.
"Do you think that you can copy the drug so we can sell it to fat people in China?" Minister, Commerce said.
"I will see what we can do, I don't see a problem, we have copied almost everything worth copying from the US". Minister, Science said.
