There was shock and horror today at the Russell family home in Gloucester when father of two, Jack, spontaneously turned into a dog.
And in an amazing twist, Jack Russell actually turned into a Jack Russell.
His wife, Vanessa, was devastated.
"He were out in the garden sweeping leaves. He often does that naked wearing just a scarf to save getting mess on his clothes, when he just turned into a dog. There were no flash of light or anything. He just shrunk and started yapping"
Its not all bad news though. The children, Lizzie and Sarah, are absolutely delighted and Jack doesn't look all that unhappy either, lying in front of the fire licking himself around his more intimate areas.
Jack's employers say that its not a problem and he should report to his job at Gloucester Pest Control as usual.
Scientists are carrying out tests to try and work out what happened but as of yet, they've found nothing obvious. Dr Hans Feeler was confident they'd get to the bottom of it
"We've never seen this type of thing before but we're sure we'll get to the bottom of it" he said.
