GOP nostalgia for war in the desert is particularly strong at this time

Eternally vigilant for the war manufacturers and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is breathing heavily with red face this morning.

Sanctions will be due soon, certainly, because Iran is sure to violate, somehow, its agreement not to expand nuclear power into nuclear weaponry.

In the spirit of world domination and let-us-tell-you-what-to-do in running your affairs, Mr. Graham is tapping his fingers on the rostrum and nodding severely.

The Israelis will certainly be supported in their eagerness to go to war with Iran.

Indeed, let any indication whatever from Iran suggest they are even thinking about nuclear weaponry and there will be reprisal.

Threats and anger characterize Mr. Graham's diplomatic style, imbued with a healthy dose of superiority in that only certain nations can lead world domination, and there are not many of those.

Iran is not one of them.

The US, ushered along by Israel, is at the forefront.

FOX news amplifies and vibrates with this style, employing announcers who sound like schoolyard bullies, plus featuring interviews with generals invested in various industrial companies.

Meanwhile, back of Mr. Graham, the new Republican Congress is rubbing its hands and snorting in glee.

The Democrats and Obama will have another thing or two to think about when it comes to believing a diplomatic solution and peace with Iran could in any way be a realistic possibility.

Instead the war, war, and more war sentiments will once again prevail as the US political machine, now fully dominated by the Republican Party, readies for new conflict and military endeavors in the middle east.

Related, the oil industries are poised to return to decent prices at the gasoline pumps shortly into 2015.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
