CHAPPAQUA, New York - Well it seems like President Bill and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's little girl Chelsea will not be getting married on July 31, after all.
The elaborate $1 million wedding which was to have taken place on a 50 acre estate in Rhinebeck, New York has officially been cancelled.
Reports out of Chappaqua are that the Clinton's have cancelled the elaborate 10-tier wedding, cake, the 15,000 doves, the 20,000 blue Democratic balloons, and the popular mariachi band from Yucatan, Mexico, Mariachi Los Amigos De La Chupacabra.
It seems that Mrs. Clinton found out, from a secret service agent, that her future son-in-law Marc Mezvinsky, 32, is a member of the Republican party.
Mrs. Clinton shook her head and said that it is such a shame because her and her husband (Bill) really and truly liked Marc. She said that they have not been this disappointed since the Monica "The Bitch" Lewinsky years in the late 90s.
Bill said that the young man has all the qualities that a man and woman look for in a son-in-law. He's rich with lots and lots of money. He has movie star good looks. He owns his own company, and he is a devoted New York Yankees fan.
Hillary said that she was really upset. She said if only Marc was a Democrat the young man would have been perfect...absolutely perfect!
SIDENOTE: There has been no word, as yet, as to what Chelsea, who is 30, and not getting any younger, has thought about the whole wedding cancellation.
