TOPEKA, Kansas – (Satire News) – The Kansas state legislature has just announced that they have voted to ban a phrase that was offensive to many Kansans who are gay.
The phrase is ‘Christmas elves are fairies’.
The amendment known as Fairies 41-F passed by a vote of 53 to 47.
So, effective at midnight on 10/22/20, any citizen of Kansas, or any out-of-state visitor, who uses that phrase in public will be fined $905.
The legislature pointed out that $900 will go to the state treasury, and $5 will go to the Gay Politicians Fund.
Life-long gay truck driver Roy “Bambi” Ricatelli said that it’s about time that the phrase, which first came into prominence during the Christmas holidays back in 2001, be officially banned.
Meanwhile, Mayor Mason Frippy, 83, of Sunflower Seed, Kansas, told TMZ, that he is still going to use that phrase, just like he has for the past 19 years.
The mayor confessed that he is not anti-gay, he just doesn’t like sissy elves.
