News is just emerging from Washington that new currency bills of $1 and $1,000 denominations will be issued in September this year, bearing the face of President Donald J. Trump.
Whilst there will be no color change to the green $1 bill, the $1,000 bill will be orange.
It's thought the issue of the notes is being rushed through by the President, so that they are in circulation before the 2020 presidential elections.
"It's a campaign tactic," said a Trump aide. "Every time someone lays their greasy, dirty fingers on one of these bills, they'll be reminded of Donald Trump, the man responsible for putting it there."
The president tweeted:
"A great president, a truly great president, should have his face, as well as his hands, on the money. And now I have."
