DENVER - One of the most popular and youngest Colorado state senators, Shepherd A. Honeybeaker [D-Colorado Springs] has just made a proposal recommending that Colorado make marijuana the official state plant.
Senator Honeybeaker who is only 28-years-old was one of the biggest supporters of passing the bill to decriminalize pot.
The senator is up for reelection in 2014, and early polls show that he presently has 96 percent of the votes in his district.
Honeybeaker who is affectionately called Pot Boy, told American Spotlight Magazine's Fitzwater Ribicoff that he feels that his bill called Make Pot Our State Plant has a more than excellent chance of passing.
The young senator told Ribicoff that he has received a letter from Willie Nelson offering to perform at a Make Pot Our State Plant rally in Denver.
He also noted that Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber have both said that they would like to perform at a concert in Colorado Springs to help stir up the weed smokers to contact their senators and tell them that they want them to vote for the Make Pot Our State Plant Bill.
SIDENOTE: The Amalgamated Data Gathering Agency has said that Colorado is the fastest growing state in the union. It noted that every day an average of 730 college students move to Colorado and enroll in the state's dozens of universities.
