An Egyptian Burial tomb, with lots of exotic goodies, has been found not far from Tel Aviv - near the ocean.
Long before the Jews, the Egyptians owned Israel, called by some other other name. The mayor of Jerusalem had to send Egypt yearly tribute back then - when the city was called Ur - Salem.
Anyway - they found a rich Egyptian Tomb at Palmachim Beach National Park, when some ground caved in. It is 3, 300 years old - the time of Ramses the Second - Pharoah of the Exodus - and had pottery and bronze vessels - showing the owner was probably rich.
Egyptian statues and jewelry have been found all over Israel for many years - but is usually not mentioned by the Israelis - as Israel was someone else's Promised Land - before it was their Promised Land. And it took some bloody wars, and terror tactics for the Jews to conquer all that land.
Jehovah promised them the land - but did little to help them win it. Go figure? Right?
The Egyptians also did copper mining in Israel and tools of their have been found at the mine sites.
Of course it is not impossible that Egypt might ask for their Land back - due to their population pressures.
And as with England and India, land was illegally taken - and eventually given back. So there is a precedent.
