Plus a swig of Coca Cola - what could go wrong?

A science teacher at a school has said that he gave permission to one of his students to undertake the extraordinarily dangerous challenge of eating a Mentos mint and then quoffing a bottle of Coca Cola, "for the benefit of the other students", and "in the name of science".

The teacher, who cannot be named because it's me, carried out the experiment on Monday, and readers who have already seen similar trials performed on YouTube, will be able to visualize just what happened next.

Said the 'teacher':

"It wasn't pretty, but it was pretty scientific, and the experiment was later deemed a 'raging success' by the school, especially as the boy is a bit of a troublemaker, and the hospital bill turned out to be so reasonable."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
