Are you ready for the ultimate vacation brag? NASA Tells us that Mars will be close enough by the year 2020 that you can drive your car there in a few days time.
One Chinese company bearing the Trump name, but having no relation to Donald Trump, is already preparing to market the trip to families. Trump Aviation Industrial Limited has started construction on a bridge that will allow motorists to drive to the red planet before anyone else can.
Tienchang Shenzen, a manager at TAIL in Guangzhou, China, spoke to this reporter by phone about their plans.
"Our bridge will be higher than anyone's, so our customers will be the first to drive to Mars in 2020. We think this will be the ultimate family vacation, the memory of such a vacation will be cherished for generations."
Shenzen was asked about the technical aspects of driving a typical consumer vehicle to Mars, he told us,
"Our engineers are up to the technical challenges ahead and are ready to prepare our guests and their vehicles for the low pressure environment during their drive."
Predictably Donald Trump has threatened to sue Trump Aviation Industrial Limited and is also considering building a competing bridge to Mars. "I'm great at building things," Trump tweeted from his office in the riot damaged Trump Towers in Manhattan.
Virgin Air, as well as a Swiss/French conglomeration of companies, also have plans to build consumer bridges to the red planet when it nears earth in 2020.
