The Golfer

BILLINGSGATE POST: Buck Brown was an African-American cartoonist. He passed away in 2007. He was best known for creating Playboy magazine’s naughty “Granny” character. But, for anyone who has ever been afflicted by the golf virus, nothing portrays better than this cartoon, to what lengths a golfer will go, to improve his game.

The truth is, the game can drive you absolutely crazy. And, as you can see in this cartoon, the husband comes home dejected, only to find a stranger in his bed. The man jumps out of bed to correct the golfer’s attempted swing. Immediately, he strikes a cord with the husband that supersedes any mayhem that might be inflicted.

A light bulb goes off as the husband speeds out of the bedroom with the latest golf tip that may change his game forever, a beatific smile on his face.

Slim: “He’s lucky his wife was in bed with a real pro.”

Dirty: “Yo, Dude. With my luck, the guy would have been a pathetic hacker.”

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
