President Donald Trump is to make a historic visit to Area 51 on Monday, and already has a meeting scheduled with one of his most-loved cinematic heroes, E.T. the Extraterrestrial.
Mr. Trump was still a child in 1982, when the movie was released, and some say he still is..
Trump (D.T. if you will), and E.T. will discuss various topics, including space travel, 'that' airborne bike ride, and the queer shape of the alien's head, but the president is more interested in the sentiment expressed in the movie regarding 'home', and going there.
E.T. repeatedly tells Elliott that he wants to "Go home" whilst pointing a gruesome alien digit towards his home planet. Trump advisors have seized upon this as an opportunity to persuade many immigrants within the US to do the same.
D.T. tweeted:
"There's something not quite right with E.T. living in the US. He's like a duck out of water, in many ways. For example, he should be in the water, not out. Ducks should always be in the water. And fish."
E.T. refused to make an official statement before next week's meeting, but held his finger up and said:
"Hurt."
