President Donald Trump isn't one to shy away from a contentious issue, and his tariff war with China has now reached the stage where he feels it is necessary to put his stamp of authority on the situation.
Trump has now threatened Beijing that, if it doesn't 'fall into step', he'll take steps to completely isolate the Chinese from the sphere of world commerce by constructing a gargantuan wall all the way around China.
And, for those who think Trump hasn't done his sums properly, think again.
His own plans for a border wall to eternally separate the US and Mexico at a length of almost 2,000 miles, was tentatively costed at $67billion. A similar construction to 'close off' China, with its land border of 13,171 miles, would, on that basis, be in the region of $450billion, give or take a few million dollars.
He would, he says, even employ cheap Chinese builders to construct it, to save money.
"Let's see them get out of that one!" tweeted Trump.
There has been no official response from China, apart from the sound of a few million people dislodging phlegm from their throats.
