Sara Palin expanded today on her remarks made last week at a Republican Convention. There, after hinting she might run for President, she instructed President Obama on foreign policy.
"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke," she told the convention. She continued on and said that the U.S. needed "real leadership" over the crisis in the Ukraine, "not the week knees in the Oval office."
In an interview today she said that she based her thinking on nukes with information from the National Rifle Association.
"A nuclear bomb is pretty similar to a .22 caliber rifle. They both can kill people," Palin stated.
She further said that one of the reasons she hoped the she and John McCain would win in 2008 was "God forbid he should have died, but if he had my finger would have been on the nuclear trigger. Nobody would have messed with the U.S. then."
