A dog and a cat got the Pope's blessing yesterday for a Valentine's wedding attended by hundreds of PETA members, some with their pets.
"It's time to let the little creatures follow our own traditions", stated the host before the ceremony. "We here at the animal shelter all feel that Fluffy and FooFoo will make a great marriage. Several people has offered to make a home for them as soon as they get back from their honeymoon at the zoo."
Although the pope had asked the photographers and reporters to stay outside, some in the crowd were taking pics.
The pair were accidentally separated last year but were eventually reunited after tearing up every carpet and staining everything they could, even sneaking in other dogs.
The choir then howled and squaled Fluffy's favorite, "How Much is that Doggie in the Window" and FooFoo's "What's New Pussycat?" as the couple left for their honeymoon and life together.
"Everybody help themselves to the snacks, punch, treats and kibbles!"
