The UK Prime Minister, Mr Gordon Brown, reportedly spent this afternoon meeting with Simon Cowell in an attempt to protect the Scottish singing sensation Miss Susan Boyle.

Mr Cowell fears that multiple attempts to relieve Miss Boyle of her reported multi million fortune have been launched.

"It is normal for my rich stars to receive begging letters, but this is a sophisticated and organised campaign" he said.

Among the beggars is one Canadian who spent so much buying 1000 copies of the singers CD's that she has been evicted from her home for mortgage arrears.

Another has emptied her bank accounts, reached the limit on 15 credit cards and sold a kidney to fund world wide trips to see Miss Boyle in concert.

A sad old lady in London has remodelled her entire back garden and built a miniature model of the village of Blackburn, West Lothian. This is Miss Boyles home town. The old lady realised that she was in trouble after she commissioned a life size sculpture of Miss Boyle, to sit in her back garden, but could not afford a plinth.

The list goes on with even more ridiculous requests for financial assistance. Surely the most bizarre is the request from someone in North America. This silly beggar has collected 27,000 signatures wishing Miss Boyle "Happy Birthday" and now cannot pay the postage on a 9,000 page book of best wishes.

Mr Cowell suggests a Zip File sent by email. duh!!!!!!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
