The idea was abandoned when King Kermit refused the task.

Buckingham Palace In the interest of transparency, it was revealed {leaked} that a portion of the population (99.9%, i.e. everybody) in the U.S. would prefer having a member of the British Royal Family take over the Executive branch of the U.S. Government until the current term is over. This, of course, reverses the history of when the U.S. asked the British to leave the U.S.

The invitation has been extended to Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, and even Prince George and Prince Louis. Prince Edward and Prince Andrew are getting their own fan clubs in the U.S.

However, the likelihood of the whole scenario diminished to zero, as each Royal was queried about the possibility, after most returned unprintable answers with regards to following the present U.S. administration, and what they thought of "it."

Other requests were sent along to David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, and relatives of the late recording artist Prince. So far, none have replied.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
