Tottenham starlet and all round average midfielder, Harry Winks, has been detained under the mental health act after proclaiming that “trophies are just around the corner” for his Tottenham team. He followed this bizarre outburst with statements like “the moon is my enemy”, and how he believes yo-yos are alive.
A Tottenham spokesman said:
"We’re sorry to report that one of our young players has today being sectioned for his own safety. Harry’s continued outbursts have become concerning for all involved, and we, as a club, are worried about his health. Football becomes secondary at times like this, and we will continue to offer him and his family all the support he needs."
Winks mental state was called into question at the back end of last season, when he gave a frank and in-depth interview to a double glazing salesman, claiming that Tottenham had a great chance against Liverpool in the Champions League final. They, of course, bottled the game in question, but this didn’t dampen down Winks enthusiasm, and he was caught stealing toilet paper from the changing rooms, and tried to get on the Liverpool team bus.
Back and to the Left news has a tiny bit of sympathy for Winks, as he is technically correct in a way. Trophies are around the corner. They're just at Arsenal's Emirates stadium
