I had to relocate to Birmingham from London due to Global warming.
Luckily, Birmingham is 500 feet above sea level and permanently safe.
(And I got a bigger mansion for less money.)
But back to the topic of my talk.
How is the whole world wrong and really stupid about Global Warming? Well let's look at America.
In America, they are going to replace half a billion gasoline guzzling cars and trucks with half a billion electric vehicles. No real basic change except the air will be slightly less polluted.
But to produce electricity for these cars they will have to cover most of the Southwest deserts with solar panels, causing massive ecological damage.
Or have many new nuclear plants with waste products that kill for half a million years. Sort of choose your poison - ecologically.
To stop Global Warming - the whole World has to go to mass transit - busses, trollies trains and boats. (The airlines, by the way, are massively polluting the skies also.
Basically, in the Future - we have to go back to the way things were in the Past. There were electric and steam cars in 1900, and people went to America by boat.
Victorian beards, from the 1900's, have come back among Men.
Possibly this is a hint of things to come. The Human Race might be slightly psychic. And many yearn for a return to simpler times.
If we stick with individual vehicles for everyone on Earth (a Capitalism Wet Dream) - and millions of plane flights a year - we are going to regret, it.
Mother Nature doesn't play Nice.
