Another Florida story from my fun investigation of the Sex Retirement Towns of Florida.
There is a secret club in Central Florida.
Just a private club of people who love Nature and get together.
They strap on a small gas powered engine-have paraglider wings - take a few steps and Voila they are Flying.
They have hand controls and can fly 40 - 50 feet over the flat Florida landscape of pine trees and ponds.
Many have striking photos of being up in the low-lying clouds.
Some of the younger more adventurous ones do 'Gator Tipping' or 'Gator Kicking'.
They fly Low - see a gator in a Florida lake(there are millions of gators) - and skim just low enough to touch or kick the back of Gator.
They say they have never had a fatality but sounds dangerous to me.
I went up in a hot air balloon(also big in Florida) and watched the delightful flying - but didn't see a Gator get 'tipped' that day.
Anyway - you will not catch this old Girl touching a Gator with her Toes.
Ever.
