Just about ever day Gold is being found in England - (some in Ireland also).
Roman gold, Viking gold, Tudor gold.
Why shouldn't you find a few pieces of gold while on vacation?
Get one of them used metal detectors and any place you go - look for mysterious holes in the ground (possible cellar holes). But look out for old mines. Britain has had thousands of years of mining.
And at the beach go up and down a few times. You get your exercise steps in and might find something find something of value.
(Wear gloves - condoms are everywhere.)
England's lands and waters are drenched in Gold. There is a whole bunch of people who just walk up and down the Thames (not streetwalkers) - and they find rare things every day.
Those old footpaths all over the country are also good places to look.
