I told MPs yesterday, that Britain will do all it can to end the slaughter of civilians in Syria, but not get involved militarily. And told MPs that Syria had "drawn comfort" from Saturday's veto at the UN. Then I added: "We will do everything we can to make sure that comfort is short-lived. This is a doomed regime, a murdering regime. There is no way it can recover its credibility."

Good stuff eh? My personal assistant Julian wrote that for me, bless him.

I read that four British pensioners died last week in the freezing weather.

I must remember to get some more eyebrow highlighter later.
