William Hague - My Fake Diary
Saturday, 4 February 2012
Well, I warned the Argies that the Royal Navy still 'packs a considerable punch' and sent HMS Dauntless to the Falklands to show them I meant it!
I was pleased with that statement, thought it would scare them a bit.
Then of course some clever clog in press had to point out that Argentina had increased its navy with an new aircraft carrier, two destroyers, two submarines, and twenty-four landing craft - while we had reduced our Navy by eleven surface ships, two submarines, and 5000 personnel!
There's always some git to state the obvious isn't there?
