Somebody pinch him

Everyone knows President Trump has a deep relationship with all things television. Our reporter managed to set up an exclusive interview with the president and got the scoop on a major reveal. The president believes he is dreaming and one day will wake up, back in his regular life, at Trump Tower.

In the 1970s, the Newhart TV series final episode ended with Bob Newhart waking up in the morning uttering, "Honey, wake up, you won't believe the dream I just had." The camera pans next to him and we see Emily, who was his wife in his previous sitcom, The Bob Newhart Show. It turns out the whole Newhart series was just a dream Bob was having. Ironically, the Newhart series ran for exactly 8 years. Sound familiar?

President Trump was quite candid in our interview, and admitted that none of the actions he takes, anywhere in the world, has any effect on reality. "I can't wait to get back to my real estate," Trump said. "I admit that it's kinda fun playing the POTUS though." He also quoted another star, from another film, who was longing to return to normalcy, and said, "There's no place like home."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
