Melanie Meadows of Nashville, Tennessee, recently took a licking from a relentless black cat named Sammy.
"He was unstoppable," said Meadows of the panther-like feline who slunk up unnoticed as she stepped out of the shower early one morning. "And meticulous! He didn't leave an inch of my leg unmoistened."
Meadows admitted that she was initially disconcerted by the sensation of Sammy's rough tongue on her epidermis. After that first jolt of surprise, however, she came to realize that not only was the sensation not unpleasant, it was actually highly enjoyable - even delightful. In other words, it wasn't long before Meadows took a liking to the licking.
Since then, Meadows and Sammy have gone on to share countless other expressions of inter-species affection. But their post-shower licking ritual remains a special time for the two of them.
"It might sound weird to other people," said Meadows. "But just try it once. You'll be hooked."
