The wildfires that have raged through California are merely God's retribution, says US President, Donald Trump, in his regular morning tweet.
The president said that, although any loss of life is, indeed, a cause for sadness, the choices people make in their everyday lives do not go unnoticed by God.
These choices include not only the carefree lifestyles of debauchery that many in the Golden State persist with, but also the choices the California electorate made during the 2016 Presidential elections, when voters made "severe errors" at the ballot.
California voted more than 61% in favor of Hillary Clinton, leaving Trump with his tail between his legs on 31.7% - but God was watching.
Now, says Trump, cities such as Los Angeles and Sacramento - strong Democrat seats - are suffering His wrath, as they try to contain the wildfires that have engulfed much of the state.
"It's not too late. Repent! And you shall live forever in the kingdom of Trump!"
