CNN, the television news company that employs Jim Acosta, the man who had his White House reporting credentials revoked after a press conference controversy with US President, Donald Trump, have awarded their reporter a pay rise, for asking the right questions.
Acosta was the man who asked Trump about the migrant caravan that is traveling through Mexico, the day after the US mid-term elections, and who had to face the president's bewildering, petulant and childish splutterings in front of the massed ranks of the world's media, many of whom will have been thinking the same thing:
"just where the fuck did the US find this Trump dipshit?"
Jerry Zucker, the man who helped in this respect, is now the head of CNN, and even he must have been wondering what the fuck he had done when propelling Trump towards politics by hiring him for 'The Apprentice', and reinforcing his delusions of grandeur. Having realized his error, he is now seeking to put it right, by showing other reporters for other stations, that doing their jobs, and asking the right questions is the right thing to do, even if it makes President Trump cry.
A CNN spokesman said:
"Details of Acosta's salary increase are not available, and it may not even be true that he will receive one, but, if Mr Zucker wants the rest of the field of journalism to take note and get on with their responsibilities, Acosta should be shown some appreciation for steadfastly sticking to his guns with Trump."
