Washington - Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, is well know in charity circles as a crusader for helping to rescue misguided women from a degrading life in the pornography business.
This often involves the payment of large sums of money from Mr. Cohen's own pocket, typically around 130,000 dollars, to help the forlorn women get back on their feet after their main source of income in the sin business is cut off.
Recently, accusations flew in the mainstream media when it was discovered that one of the beneficiaries of Mr. Cohen's admirable efforts, Stormy Daniels, was reported to have had an affair with Donald Trump.
All parties associated with Mr. Trump have vehemently denied that Trump had an affair with the porn star, four months after his wife Melania gave birth to their son in 2006, and that the charitable work by Mr. Cohen was actually a payoff for silence about the affair, funneled through an LLC set up by Cohen.
The evangelical right rushed to the defense of Trump. Franklin Graham, noted televangelist and son of Billy Graham, who believes Trump has been “saved” and is a “changed man”, chided the media for the “fake news” about the President.
“He (Trump) has been born again, so if he is guilty of this transgression, he would have no problem confessing....therefore since he denies it, the reports by the media are false”, Graham exclaimed.
