Polls just out indicate that a large majority of Americans 1) support air strikes on Isis; 2) A majority thinks that President Obama has not been "tough enough" on Isis, during a time that he is widely expanding the war; --
3) A large majority opposes a U.S. ground war on Isis but says it's necessary to win; 4) A majority of Americans give Obama a low rating on terrorism and foreign policy; and 5) The majority of Americans have faith in the President's ability to ably handle an international crisis.
This reporter, in an attempt to understand ordinary citizens' ambivalence (the ability to hold conflicting beliefs without being aware of the conflict) and confusion about foreign affairs, interviewed people in Broken Urinal, GA.
Perhaps symbolic of American's attitudes on this issue was Maude R. Prichard who said, "Obama hisself didn't behead them folks, I know it was Bin Laden, but he might as well have done it 'cause he didn't put a stop to it. He's got to kill those Saudi Pakistanis before they cross the Mexican Border and come to Urinal."
Earl Blackwater, who said he follows foreign affairs "very closely" on Fox News, stated that there was "new evidence that the Isis fanatics had formed terrorist cells in East Coast liberal cities where they were welcomed."
He also stated, "I saw on the news that some cowboys on the Mexican border with Texas had found Korans, Ali Baba type lamps and Arab clothing on Mexican trails leading into the state. Obama needs to bomb Isis on the U.S. border the way he's doing in Iraq and Syria. He should also send in the marines. Of course, because Obama's foreign born, he won't do it," Earl stated.
Robin Nell Blackwater, Earl's sister and common law wife, agreed.
"It's like Sean Hannidy says, if we want to stop the terrorists we need to have a ground war with Mexico and form a coalition of the willing with Canada and Texas. It's time for the skinny Presidint to get brawny," said Ms. Blackwater showing some Broken Urinal wit.
