WASHINGTON, D.C. - The White House had some pretty quick explaining to do after receiving a hefty bill for some work that was done.
White House press secretary Cal Colfax stated that he called up The Shocking Electric Company to replace 12 light bulbs that had burned out.
Three workers for the electric company went out to the White House and it took them about 35 minutes to replace the dozen light bulbs.
After they were done with the work they handed Colfax a bill in the amount of $789.95.
He looked at the bill and asked if they had replaced a generator or what.
The foreman replied that the job was a lot more difficult than most light bulb replacing jobs due to the fact that the White House ceilings are very high.
SIDENOTE: After calling up the company's general manager, Cal Colfax was able to get the bill reduced down to $710.95 after the foreman was told to take 10 percent off due to the fact that the residents of the White House (the Obama's) are a minority family.
