Frank Bonner, chairman of the Somerset Naturalist Society believes global warming will have us all in our birthday suits one day.
Frank said: "With global warming more people will find it too hot to wear clothes and with every degree in temperature rise more of our clothes will come off".
When questioned about the practicality of this for the people living north of Somerset like the Scots, Frank replied, "the Scots naturalist societies are growing and its not just the summer months when this happens, the unique Scottish environment is very much liked by our more adventurous members".
How this multitude of naturalists tramping the bens and glens are going to cope as fast food for the blood thirsty midge is another question.
Frank did quench any fireman fears, he agreed they will still need their suits on at work.
