BILLINGSGATE POST: According to Sky Sports, an international soccer match between England and Bulgaria’s national teams was interrupted twice Monday by semi-nude streakers wearing Saran Wrap Speedos and hoodies.
The referee was forced to pause the Euro 2020 qualifying match in Sofia, Bulgaria, twice during the first half, according to Reuters.
Britain’s Sky Sports noted that England players, led by Harry Maguire, stopped play to watch the streakers. However, Bulgaria was still unable to stop England from scoring.
Over the loud speaker was heard:
"Because of the unruly behavior which is interfering with the pace of play, the referee has indicated he may have to suspend the match. However, that will require that the referee be awakened from his deep slumber.”
The Spoof’s Monkey Woods was at the game to chronicle the play of his boy, Harry Maguire.
Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett:
“Above the din, incredibly, a man dressed in a monkey costume could be heard from the top row of the stadium, barking at the hapless Maguire to take the streakers down.”
“Get those bastards off the field! They are a f*cking disgrace!”
