Beleagured Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is reported to have gone into hiding after being relentlessly slammed in the press for his team's inept performances in the Premier League this season.
United sit in 12th place in the league, on 9 points, and Red Devils' fans all over the world have been calling for an early end to the Norwegian's reign in what should be the easiest job in football.
Solskjaer was last seen going into his house as the team coach dropped him off there late on Sunday night, after United's 1-0 defeat at the hands of lowly Newcastle United. He did not report in for training on Monday morning, and could not be reached by telephone. United staff who went around to his house on Tuesday morning said the curtains were drawn, and that nobody responded to repeated knocking on his door.
A black United jacket, black sweater, white shirt and red tie were found stuffed in his wheelie bin.
Several United players, including Harry Maguire, Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, and David de Gea, conducted a search of various parts of Manchester, but were unable to shed any light on what is turning into a disastrous situation in a disastrous season for the Old Trafford club.
It's now thought Mr. Solskjaer may have taken to his heels and gone back to Norway, where it's lovely this time of year.
