Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has been severely disciplined by House of Commons speaker, John Bercow, who has decreed by the powers invested in him, that the Right Honourable Member should, without much further ado, attend an Anger Management Course.
Bercow also advised Corbyn:
"Wash your mouth out with soap!"
This followed Mr. Corbyn's silent riposte to the Prime Minister's mocking comment that he should carefully consider which of his own party had confidence in him, rather than which Tories had confidence in her.
Corbyn mouthed:
"stupid woman"
which she is. Mr. Bercow, however, saw this differently. Having deemed Mr Corbyn's verbal slur serious enough to have engaged the services of mouth readers - not lip readers - the Speaker decided that remedial action was what was needed, and quickly.
Mr Corbyn, who is usually so calm and level-headed about these things, may be suffering from an exuberant festive spirit, or even showing signs of thinly-veiled career ambitions, in wanting to replace Mrs May as the head of government.
