The Queen's Christmas message to her subjects, traditionally broadcast on Christmas Day, will this year benefit from subtitles, in order to provide clarity for more of Britain's ethnic population.

The subtitles will be in Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati and Punjabi, and will be accessible by pressing the red button. German may also be added at some stage.

It's the first time Buckingham Palace has deigned to provide the message in any language other than English, but the move has been thought necessary to reflect the importance of multiculturalism in Britain today. Apparently, not everyone speaks English.

A suggestion that dubbed versions of the Queen's words be recorded and used, is under consideration for 2019.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
