Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who signed for Manchester City in the summer, said after yesterday's crunch encounter between the two clubs that his goal which finished the game off as a contest was the sweetest he had ever scored, and that he hates Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Adebayor, 25, nodded in City's third to give them their fourth victory of the campaign as Arsenal fell apart, eventually losing 4-2.
The Togo international - yes, that's right, Togo! - spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live afterwards, and told listeners:
"I hate Arsenal and their manager. They are wankers. My goal was the best in history. Did I mention that Arsene Wenger is a wanker?"
Adebayor was involved in a fracas with Arsenal's Robin van Persie during the second half, which ended with the striker stamping on the head of the Dutch international. He said:
"These things happen in football. I hate van Persie. Did I mention that Arsene Wanker is a wenger?"
