Fans in the UK consider David Beckham the best. Fans in Brazil consider Pele the best, and fans in Mexico say that Javier Hernnadez Balcazar (aka Chicharito) is the best.
There are other "Kickers" in the top echelon of favorites and these include Eric Cantona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Maradona, Alfredo Di Estefano, and Ronaldo Nazario.
True soccer fans use many types of criteria to determine who is the best of the best. Sports Buzz writer Jenny Jo Viper says that women fans look at who looks the best in his short short soccer shorts.
She notes that die-hard female soccer fans also look at physical things like how good a player looks in a beard, a goatee, a mustache, or in sideburns.
Miss Viper noted somewhat tongue-in-cheek, that that there are some females from ages 17 to 87, who say that for them, it is all about the bulge in the crotch of the players short shorts.
