SANTA MONICA BEACH, California – One of the greatest soccer players of all time, Pele, flew to California and met with another great soccer player, Javier Hernandez Balcazar, better known as Chicharito.
They had macaroni enchiladas and several pitchers of Los Pistoleros Beer, at the world-famous Santa Monica Pier, and they later rode the very popular Left Coast ferris wheel.
Pele was recently named president of the Sao Paulo Red Grasshoppers, and he asked Chicharito to become a member of the board of directors.
The Guadalajara native, who plays for the L.A. Galaxy, gladly accepted the generous offer, which comes with a salary of $2.7 million a year, 1,000 shares in a Brazil Nut company, and 560 prime acres located in the Amazon Rain Forest.
Pele informed Chicharito that he can even be a part of the semi-monthly board meetings without ever having to go down to Brazil, as he can participate while on his computer.
Chicharito is currently writing a book about his love affair with Colombian singer and belly dancer, Shakira.
