Gareth Bale, the Real Madrid footballer who is looking for a new club to play for after rumours that the Spanish giants are to replace him, is to have his 'man bun' removed, and face the music of baldness.
The Welshman has used the stick-on dollop of hair since doctors told him he was losing his thatch just after joining Madrid, but several prospective buyers have said they wouldn't touch a player with a hairstyle as pretentious as the one Bale has, especially as he is also a 'left-footer'.
Bale had to 'fend off' fans who ran onto the pitch and tried to touch his man bun last month, and says he doesn't want the attention it now attracts.
Many football fashion experts are now predicting that Bale will now go to the other extreme, as another Real Madrid former star, David Beckham did, and adopt the 'shaven head look' - a somewhat more manly appearance.
A favourite style amongst players in France, this could mean that Bale is destined for Paris Saint-Germain.
