Scientists have long debated the number of hairs on the average human head. The estimates , without reference to the biblical pledge to have counted every hair, come out at about an average of 100,ooo strands. As reports of the money spent by the NRC on Sarah Palin's strands come in, it appears that the United New Committee to Elect McCain Despite Palin(UNCEMDP)invested more than a dollar per cuticle.
UNCEMDP spokesperson and cosmetologist, Evelyn Hair Outaplace explained that Palin represented a unique problem to hair handlers and political dressers alike:
"We had to create a kind of hair wall to disguise the fact that the head beneath the hair has very little brain at all. The beehive is basically a distraction that draws the eyes away from the mouth that in this case said some pretty inarticulate and ridiculous things..."
