WATERLOO, Iowa - (Satire News) - Most of the corn farmers in Iowa are shaking their heads in disbelief, as the infernal temperatures are hovering close to the 110 degree mark.
A weatherman for Waterloo's PBS Channel 102, stated that the temperatures in most Iowa towns are hitting 107 degrees with a heat index of 112 degrees.
Long time weatherman Skipper "Tornado" Callamooski reports that many of the corn farmers are commenting that they are literally seeing their corn crop pop as if they were in a movie theater popcorn machine.
Meanwhile, The Iowa Corn Growers Coalition (ICGC) is putting out the word that if the damn, effen heat continues, the price of a can of creme style corn will go from 69¢ for a can up to $1.87.
