The extremely hot weather that's being enjoyed by the whole of the UK is set to continue during the first half of this week, but after that, it's going to be back to normal for most of us.
Record temperatures have been the order of the day, along with women in revealing skimpy tops, inappropriate bikini-wear, men in garish Bermuda shorts and socks, and knotted handkerchiefs placed on boiling craniums.
But, says BBC weatherman, Thomas Shatternackers, it won't last.
"Wednesday will be the last day of hot, summery weather. Thursday will be showery, and Friday will be a colder day. By Saturday, we will have forgotten what 'warm' means, and snow is likely on Sunday."
He explained:
"The British weather is notoriously unpredictable. Indeed, just about the only thing that is predictable about the British weather, is its unpredictability."
Police are not investigating.
