Weather forecasters across Europe have said that the searing temperatures that are currently causing so much discomfort to so many people in so many countries, shows no sign of letting up, and is set to continue until it cools off a bit.
The heat, say experts, is being caused by a big yellow thing in the sky.
Some people say they have heard the extreme hot temperatures are going to last forever.
But the meteorologists, having had few meteors to concern themselves with lately, say the abnormal highs we are experiencing are only temporary, and won't last forever.
"It's bound to cool down sooner or later," said one.
Another told me:
"Forever is a long time. There's sure to be an onshore breeze, or a few spots of rain before long, and that'll take the wind out of its sails!"
British weather forecasters say they expect an end to the lovely hot, sunny weather about 6am on Saturday, just in time to ruin your weekend.
