HOUSTON - Trent Timmelfarb, spokesman for NASA, has announced that they have just received word from Sochi, Russia, home of the XXII Winter Olympics about a very nice gesture.
Timmelfarb said that he received a gracious email from Tula Tambova, the spokeswoman for the SOOC informing him that NASA will be receiving a check in the amount of $975,000 from the SOOC.
Miss Tambova stated that the check is a goodwill gesture between the two leading countries of the world Russia and the United States.
She went on to say that the United States has always actively supported the Russian space program, especially when it was severely criticized by PETA for launching a chimpanzee, a dachshund, and a crocodile into outer space.
SIDENOTE: President Putin and President Obama have vowed to work together to see that the exploration of space continues and that disruptive elements such as North Korea's Kim Jong Un are made aware of the fact that both nations can turn North Korea or any nation into a virtual gigantic parking lot in mere minutes.
