SOCHI, Russia - The Sochi Organizing Olympics Committee has just made an announcement regarding the XXII Winter Olympics closing ceremony.

SOOC Spokeswoman Tula Tambova has stated that the Rolling Stones will be performing at the closing ceremonies on February 23, 2014.

Calcutta Cotton with Music Moments Magazine has said that she spoke with lead singer Mick Jagger and he told her to pass on the word that the lads in the band can hardly wait.

Jagger added that he and Keith Richards have written a special song for the Sochi Olympics and the band will be performing it during the festive event.

Mick pointed out that they will actually be singing the song in English and in Russian.

SIDENOTE: The SOOC said that also performing at the closing ceremonies will be Moscow rock band Cosmo & The Siberian Sharpshooters, as well as Russian stand up comedian Blizzard Boobovich.
