Americans are wondering why the world has rushed to attend Putin's party in Sochi as Russia continues to push its own defiant agenda on the world stage without regard for due process or the civil liberties of foreign citizens.
Americans have expressed outrage over the unwelcome assertion of Russian influence in the Middle East. Some have even suggested that Russia seems to be more concerned about selling weapons than about the ramifications of propping up ruthless dictators around the globe.
To make matters worse, Russia has been turning terror on Chechnyans with aggressive and inhumane tactics in the war on extremism, leaving innocent civilians killed in the crossfire.
They have even shown a willingness to execute their own citizens without regard if they deem them "enemy combatants."
Americans that did choose to attend the Olympic Games in Sochi have become astonished by the gall of the Russian government after a recent report from the U.S. State Department warned them not to have "any expectation of privacy" while using Russian communication networks.
